Pattaya is about 127 km by road from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and about 162 km from Don Mueang (DMK). The cheapest way there is the airport coach from Suvarnabhumi, 135 THB per seat and about 2 hours. A private sedan from Suvarnabhumi cost $44.60 per car for up to three travelers when we checked on 12 October 2026, with toll fees included.

Private transfer from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang

For most people landing with luggage, the Golden Dragon private transfer to Pattaya is the one to book. It covers both airports and both directions in one listing, is rated 4.52 from 329 reviews, and prices each option per vehicle. When we checked on 12 October 2026, the one-way fares from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya were $44.60 for a sedan, $49.06 for an MPV and $68.40 for a van. From Don Mueang the sedan was $53.22, the MPV $59.18 and the van $81.78.

Match the vehicle to your bags as much as your group. The listing sizes a sedan for 1 to 3 passengers with 2 to 3 medium suitcases, an MPV for up to 4 with 3 to 4 suitcases, and a van for up to 9 with 6 to 8 suitcases. Fuel, toll fees, insurance and the driver are included. Child seats are not mentioned, so ask before you book if you need one.

At Suvarnabhumi, walk to Gate 3 after immigration and baggage claim and look for a sign with your name. At Don Mueang the meeting point is Gate 5 for international arrivals and Gate 11 for domestic ones. The listing’s terms run both ways: if the driver is more than an hour late, you get a full refund, and if you keep the driver waiting 30 minutes to an hour, there is a 300 THB penalty. Send your flight number so a delay is not counted against you. Our review of the Golden Dragon transfer covers the listing in full.

Two other private transfers to compare

The OTO Trip Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya transfer cost $59.48 for two travelers when we checked, with the vehicle assigned to your party size: sedan for 1 to 2, SUV for 3 to 4, van for 5 to 7. It includes 2 hours of waiting time at the airport, meet and greet at Exit 3 on the second floor of the arrivals hall, tolls and parking. Child seats for ages 1 to 3 cost THB 200 per seat each way. Read our OTO Trip review.

For a larger group, the pattayacentral.com 24-hour transfer on Viator is priced per group of up to 8, from THB 2,490 (about $76). It has the highest rating of the Pattaya transfers we compare, 4.96 from 67 reviews, and lists tolls, bottled water and onboard Wi-Fi. The listing estimates 1.2 to 1.7 hours on the road. See our pattayacentral.com review.

The airport coach from Suvarnabhumi

Roong Reuang Coach runs the airport service to Pattaya from a desk on Level 1 near Gate 8 (see the full Roong Reuang coach timetable, both ways). A seat cost 135 THB on the operator’s route page, the ride takes about 2 hours, and it ends at the Pattaya Bus Terminal in North Pattaya, so you still need a ride to your hotel from there. Departures from the airport are at 07:30, 09:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30 and 18:30. Arrive 15 minutes before your bus.

Read the terms before you buy. Roong Reuang tickets are not refundable, changes cost 30 THB per person with at least 2 days’ notice, and the name on the booking must match your passport. One checked bag up to 20 kg and one personal bag travel free.

The government operator Bor Kor Sor (The Transport Co. Ltd) also sells seats to Pattaya from a counter at Gate 8 on the first floor. At its launch in March 2025 the fare was 122 THB with four trips a day each way; the current fare may differ, so check it at the counter or on tcl99web.transport.co.th.

From Don Mueang to Pattaya

Don Mueang has no Roong Reuang service, but Bor Kor Sor runs coaches from the Service Hall Building next to the International Terminal (Building 1), on the north side by parking lots 4 and 5. A 2026 report gives a 167 THB fare and departures at 06:30, 07:30, 10:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 17:30, with the trip taking about 2.5 hours. These figures come from a secondary source, so confirm the timetable before you plan around it.

If your flight lands after the last coach, or you would rather not cross the airport with bags, the Golden Dragon sedan from Don Mueang was $53.22 per car when we checked. The Don Mueang airport transfers guide covers the terminal, taxi and Grab points in more detail.

Taxi and Grab to Pattaya

Taxis at Suvarnabhumi leave from the taxi queue on Level 1, between Gates 4 and 7. The airport’s own guide says the meter applies to trips within about 20 km; for longer journeys such as Pattaya, the fare is agreed between you and the driver under Department of Land Transport rules. Travel guides estimate 1,000 to 1,500 THB plus 60 to 100 THB in tolls, but no official fare table exists. Agree the total, including tolls and the 50 THB airport surcharge, before you get in.

Grab picks up at Suvarnabhumi on Level 1, Gate 4, outer curb, and shows the fare in the app before you confirm. Follow the pickup point the app gives you. The taxi vs Grab guide compares the two at both airports.

Practical booking checklist

  • Pickup location: Gate 3 at Suvarnabhumi for Golden Dragon, Exit 3 on the second floor for OTO Trip. Your confirmation has the final word.
  • Waiting time: OTO Trip includes 2 hours at the airport; Golden Dragon charges 300 THB if you are 30 minutes to an hour late.
  • Tolls: included on all three private listings above.
  • Luggage: count suitcases, not just people, when you pick the vehicle.
  • Child seats: THB 200 per seat each way on OTO Trip; ask Golden Dragon before booking.
  • Cancellation: free up to 24 hours before on the GetYourGuide listings.

Practical tips

  • Check your e-ticket for BKK or DMK before you book. Golden Dragon prices the two airports differently.
  • For four adults with full-size suitcases, book the van. The sedan takes 2 to 3 medium suitcases.
  • If you land after 18:30 at Suvarnabhumi, the last Roong Reuang coach has gone.
  • Going back, Golden Dragon’s sedan from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi was $41.64 per car when we checked.
  • Planning Hua Hin too? See Bangkok Airport to Hua Hin, or go Pattaya to Hua Hin by road without going back through Bangkok.
  • Spending a night in Bangkok first? The Airport Rail Link guide covers the train from Suvarnabhumi into the city.

Quick recommendations

  • If you are two or three with normal luggage → book the Golden Dragon sedan at $44.60 per car from Suvarnabhumi.
  • If you are a family that needs a child seat → book OTO Trip and add the THB 200 seat.
  • If you are a group of up to 8 → price the pattayacentral.com van at THB 2,490 against the Golden Dragon van at $68.40.
  • If you travel solo and land in daytime → take the 135 THB Roong Reuang coach.
  • If you want to compare private cars across all routes → see the private transfers comparison.

What we checked

We compared the Pattaya transfers on GetYourGuide and Viator by review volume, rating and how clearly each one states its price basis, then checked real-date prices for two adults on 12 October 2026. Coach and taxi figures come from the airport operator’s pages, the coach operators and dated travel reports, as noted above. Inclusions such as waiting time and child seats vary by listing, so read the one you book.
